This very well could be the most rare vehicle we have ever put our hands on with actual documentation showing only about 96 these to ever been produced with these options with its build codes. One of the coolest things about this truck, even in this era it had a built in Onan generator under the hood and we not only have one, but could be the original generator, but also a refurbished in the crate replacement generator that goes with this vehicle. We picked this truck up locally it was born and built in California and spent most of it’s life there it is a truly survivor rush free vehicle some of the paint has been redone, but it appears that most of the paint is still original. Floor shift 4x4, manual shift 4 speed transmission, V8 engine, bench seat. It is hard to tell what may have been redone and what may be original on this truck, but we do know we have a lot of background check and documentation and this truck is very well preserved. You will never see another one available for sale again as most are probably worked to death early in their life...we have yet to ever see one, nor has anyone else, we have ever tried to ask about it, so that will tell you how rare these trucks were. We used a Marti Report to decode this vehicle and a few other interesting items popped up: contractor special, heavy duty front and rear springs basically like an F250, upgraded mirrors, insignias on the cowl and in the glove box and a few other cool features. It also shows this vehicle was delivered in Bishop, California and spent most of its in California and was custom ordered in November 1968, boxwood green, 3.50 gear ratio new process 435 4 speed manual transmission, was built at the San Jose plant and ordered through the Los Angeles DSO sales office. This truck runs drives and operates well. It could prob use a tune up and maybe a timing adjustment just to tweak it perfectly. It also has a shutter in the clutch which could be from sitting, but may require a pressure plate or clutch to make perfect. We are not against doing that one bit just didnt want to mess with a original vehicle any more than we had to.
